Hi Moshe
I had the joy and the sorrow of just reading the summary of your book that I have wanted to read for so long. As I write to you, I still have tears in my eyes. I have tears, yes, and also I feel the admiration for you and all the brave men that served with you.
Even after the book, I cannot imagine what it was really like to go through such an experience. I cannot know the pain and fright that all of you must have experienced. But through all of the story I felt a great pride for what you did, and for what all those Israelis who were on the ship and who were part of the rescue accomplished.
Moshe, I salute you and all those...living and fallen...who sang in the face of death. What a great event in the history of Israel. Your book captured the essence of what Israel is and why we love her.
I hope very much that a movie will be made which will serve as inspiration to all those young soldiers who are now in the IDF and who will be in the IDF. I hope you will renew your efforts to find a way to make this movie. It is a story of survival and inspiration that must be told to all Israelis and all the world.
There are so many who have been rewarded by your survival, and I am happy and lucky to be one of them. Anyone who knows you knows what a great and kind husband, father, and friend you are.
Kol HaKavod, Moshe,
As always, we miss you and we miss Israel.
